Properly diversified asset allocation is the foundation of a sound investment strategy. Deliberately defining what one should own, and in what proportion, will have more impact than any other investment decisions we make for our clients. The process begins by identifying investable asset classes in which to participate. Then, informed by a combination of historical data, current valuations, and future expectations, we build portfolios that have lower expected volatility and higher expected returns than their individual components.
This process ultimately results in various model portfolios which we monitor and adjust, as warranted by market conditions.
"I view diversification not only as a survival strategy but as an aggressive strategy, because the next windfall might come from a surprising place. I want to make sure I'm exposed to it." Peter Bernstein, author and accomplished investor
